TNO is the Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research and is The Netherlands’ largest knowledge organization, with approximately 5000 employees, servicing companies, government bodies and public organizations. Energy Transition is a business unit within the overall TNO organisation and is one of the leading institutes in Europe concerning applied energy research. It is aimed at contributing to a future sustainable energy system by performing research and technology development and bringing it to implementation. Within the project, TNO is the coordinator of the project (WP7 Project Coordination & Management), leads the demonstration campaign in Lulea, Sweden (WP3 Demonstration of industrial symbiosis) and performs modelling of AI driven process control in WP4 (Multiscale Modelling and Analysis of Industrial Symbiosis).
