SSAB is a leading producer on the global market for Advanced High Strength Steels and Quenched & Tempered steels, standard strip, plate and tubular products, as well as construction solutions. SSAB employs approximately 17,300 people in 50 countries, and its steels contribute to lighter weight of the end-product and also increase the strength and life length of the product. Within the project, SAAB will provide access to industrial gases (blast furnace gas and basic oxygen furnace gas) from the steel mill in Luleå (SE), for the TRL7 demonstration activities at Swerim. Further evaluate the changes needed to steel plant gas networks to switch from electricity production to supply for chemical processing and CCUS activities.
