Progress for INITIATE: Welcoming Paul Wurth Italia to Our Pilot Campaign in Luleå
Earlier this month, the INITIATE consortium had the pleasure of hosting Paul Wurth Italia at our pilot campaign in Luleå, Sweden. As the SEWGS technology license holder for the Iron & Steel sector, their visit marks an important milestone in the rollout of INITIATE’s innovative approach to circularity and carbon efficiency.
During the visit, the Paul Wurth Italia team observed the operation of the pilot, gaining first-hand insight into start-up procedures and SEWGS cycle optimisation. This first campaign represents an exciting step forward for the INITIATE project. Seeing the design in action reinforces our commitment to advancing industrial symbiosis, circular economy principles, and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) solutions that can transform Europe's industrial landscape.
A big thank you to Paul Wurth Italia for their collaboration and contribution. We look forward to continued progress as we move from demonstration to deployment.
