THE INITIATE NEWSLETTER – DECEMBER 2023 – IS ONLINE NOW

Dear INITIATE Partners,
As 2023 is almost over, the INITIATE project is at full speed.

Looking back at 2023, I want to mention some outstanding achievements. We have successfully amended the project scope to deal with the inflation-driven increased costs for pilot construction with minimal impact on the foreseen project results. The first construction work was started e.g. for the sorption enhanced water-gas shift (SEWGS) unit, Jernbro, our Swedish contractor, has erected the reactors. We have organised a successful summer school at Radboud University, where young professionals were trained in techno-economic and life-cycle assessment of energy systems in the context of CO2 capture, re-use and sequestration. Moreover, our webinars have been well-attended.

We will continue this good work in 2024.
